I started my tertiary studies at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and completed my first year in Biokenetics and Sport Science.  However, during this year I became increasingly more intrigued in the field of psychology.  The following year I enrolled at Stellenbosch University where I completed my graduate and postgraduate studies.  Whilst completing my studies I gained experience by volunteering at Stikland Psychiatric Hospital for four years. I obtained my bachelors degree in science, with majors in psychology, physiology, and biochemistry (half-major).  My postgraduate qualifications specifically focused on psychology and clinical.  I currently hold the following postgraduate qualifications:

• BSc Hons Psychology (cum laude);

• MSc  Psychology (Research) (cum laude); and

• MA Clinical Psychology and Community Counselling

After finishing my studies, I completed my clinical psychology internship at Stikland Psychiatric Hospital and Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town. I then served as a clinical psychologist at De Aar Hospital during my community service year. Since 2020, I have been working as an independent practitioner in both the public and sectors. With a strong interest in public mental health, I am currently pursuing further studies this area and have experience working with both inpatients and outpatients.
