I started my tertiary studies at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and completed my first year in Biokenetics and Sport Science.  However, during this year I became increasingly more intrigued in the field of psychology.  The following year I enrolled at Stellenbosch University where I completed my graduate and postgraduate studies.  Whilst completing my studies I gained experience by volunteering at Stikland Psychiatric Hospital for four years. I obtained my bachelors degree in science, with majors in psychology, physiology, and biochemistry (half-major).  My postgraduate qualifications specifically focused on psychology and clinical.  I currently hold the following postgraduate qualifications:

• BSc Hons Psychology (cum laude);

• MSc  Psychology (Research) (cum laude); and

• MA Clinical Psychology and Community Counselling

After completion of my studies I completed my clinical psychology internship year at Stikland Psychiatric Hospital, as well as at Tygerberg Hospital, in Cape Town.  I completed my community service year as clinical psychologist at De Aar Hospital in De Aar. 

I have worked as an independent practitioner in the public and private sector since 2020.  I have a keen interest public mental health and am currently enrolled in further studies in this field. I have experience in working in in- and outpatients settings. ​
